Easily plug this custom harness into your towed car to get the turn and brake signals you need for flat towing. Unlike other kits out there, this harness protects your vehicle from electrical feedback without you needing to splice in extra diodes.
When you're towing a car behind your motorhome, you'll need a way to get the tail, brake, and turn signals from your RV to the car to be safe and legal. This kit plugs into factory ports on your vehicle so your car can display the electrical signals coming from your motorhome. That way everyone on the road knows what your rig is up to as you tow.
This is a completely plug-and-play option for your vehicle, so the installation of this kit will be quick and easy.
While this kit has everything you need to get your towed car wired and ready, you'll still need some gear to get moving. To connect to your RV's electrical, you'll need an umbilical, and you'll need to make sure the plugs on that cord match the ones on your RV as well as the 4-way that's now on your car. If your RV has a 7-way, C57271 is a great option.
Something else to think about is whether or not you need a brake light relay. If your car's brake lights illuminate when the engine is off, you'll need to install a relay (RM-88400 - sold separately) to make sure the brake signal overrides the turn signal sent by your RV when you're slowing down to turn while towing.

My Vehicle: 2026 2-Door Wrangler Sport S. The Blue Ox EZ Light Custom Plug-In Tow Bar Wiring Kit, BLU79FR (packaged as BX88368) worked perfectly, it was easy to install and did not involve any changes like cutting or drilling to my brand-new jeep. The interior fascia above the driver’s side taillight has changed a small amount from the eTrailer videos but came off easily. I cut off the 4-pin flat connector provided in the kit’s harness and used a Blue Ox BX88414, 4-pin round metal connector which bolted easily to a Blue Ox BX1139 base plate. I do not foresee the need for more pins in the connector. This connector connects to a Blue Ox BX88254, 7-wire to 4-wire cable I had from a previous vehicle. Wherever possible I ran the kit’s harness through 3/8-inch split wire loom tubing and secured it with 8-inch zip ties. Due to the connector sizes, I did not find it possible to run the wire through the rear frame, but for the long frame, after cutting off the 4-pin flat connector, I used an electrician’s fish tape and pulled the harness through the frame to the driver’s wheel well and up to the engine compartment. I was not able to pull the loom through the frame but could have tried harder. Pulling the harness through the frame was far faster than zip tying it to the outside and hopefully more secure. Very nice product.

Got all my Parts including the 2 bushings they were missing. Installed everything myself with the you tube videos.
As advertised- quality product that was as easy as plugging it in and running wires.
The website is miss leading. This part does not fit my truck. If you put in your vehicle and use the main search bar, it searches all vehicles and misleads you to think the part that comes up will work. I even paid over night shipping and etrailer could care less. Still charged me $15.00 to return plus I was out the overnight shipping. Will look to other vendors for future parts.

It was easy to install the wiring kit.
The wiring harness worked perfectly for the 2022 Jeep Gladiator Sport, and plugged right into the Brakebuddy Stealth harness at the front connectors. The wire harness was run the length of the vehicle through the inside of the frame, fully protecting it and making for a clean installation. Watching a couple of videos on installing these helped a lot.

Really liked not having to splice into any of the factory wiring, just clipped right into the factory plugs. I also added a plug-and-play trailer hitch wiring harness and both played together nicely. No double-sided tape was included so I zip-tied everything to the fuel filler neck behind the light. Plenty of room.
I spent a lot of time routing the wires to hide them and look nice. I covered everything in plastic wire loom and ran them up the drivers frame rail, up over the wheel well tied to existing wiring on the fender, then back down to the front of the jeep. I changed the plug from the flat 4 to a round 6 plug.
I believe the installation could take you 2 hours or 6 hours depending on how much effort you put into the wire routing. Everything just worked in the end.

The wiring kit and base plate I ordered was received ahead of estimated shipping date. Everything was accounted for and packaged well! I still have yet to install the items, but doubt I will have issues as detailed instructions were provided. I would recommend etrailer to anyone!
Never having to flat tow a vehicle presented a problem for me to get it set up properly. I was thoughtfully guided through the purchase of the tow hitch, wiring, tow bar connection and safety required in installation. Great service!
Very easy to install! It is literally plug and play. Depending on how detailed you want to get with routing your wiring dictates the level of complication on the product. The 2020 Wrangler tail lights are easy to remove and plugging in the wires from the kit is self explanatory. The converter box that comes in the kit does not have two sided tape on it as the instructions say. There are two tabs on either side of the box that allow you to zip-tie it. Not many options for that on the 2020 Wrangler so I zip tied it onto the filler neck for the fuel tank.
I wanted a clean install from the tail light housing to the front of the Jeep so I spent a good amount of time threading the wires across frame rails in the back and down frame itself using split tubing so that no wires were hanging down or noticeable. This took considerably more time than the installation of the kit itself. If I would have been satisfied just running the wires along the frame without consideration for a clean install, it would have been ready to tow in less than an hour.
I highly recommend this kit over the some of the others that require diodes or switches to toggle between tow and no tow mode.
First off let me say this is not my first order from etrailer. Previous orders have been very smooth with timely delivery and quality product with excellent customer service from available Technicians to help out with issues pertaining to installation. This current order arrived with the major component missing (baseplate). etrailer has stepped up and is currently doing battle with UPS. Thanks to Nicole R. for all of your attention to this matter. I’ve used a similar Hopkins kit in the past and after purchasing a new Jeep Wrangler I looked to etrailer to get the proper Hopkins kit. I’ll be installing this light kit myself as I did on my old Jeep. Jeep makes it so easy on the new Wranglers with plugs in the firewall and access to the taillights.

It's the perfect choice for when u don't want to splice into ur vehicles wiring. I installed it on a 22 jeep wrangler and it was fairly easy, the tricky part fishing the wires thru the frame. Overall a great product
I like the ease of installation. Just wish it included the round electrical connector that the blue ox toe vehical has.the video i saw and instructions together made it an easy do it yourself install.
Take your time routing wires. Taking bumper off make it easier touring wires in back for taillights. Go over fender rail and run wires thru frame using a fish tape up to engine compartment. Love the plug and play for this set. No splicing into factory wiring.
The powder coating on the Blue Ox Base plate came off upon the firt time I inserted the pins to tow it.
